After the entire royal family is killed in a freak accident, they begin to look for the closest living heir to the throne. Enter Ralph Jones; a loud Las Vegas entertainer who defiantly doesn't look part of the royal family. Sir Cedric Charles Willingham who makes it his job to transfer Regular Ralph into King Ralph. However, there are other plans for King Ralph hidden in the shadows.

The real royal family name, Windsor, was changed to the fictional name Windham for the movie. Un-synched lip movements in a few parts (most notably the abdication scene) seem to suggest the change was made after the film was shot.

Phipps:
Sir Cedric! Sir Cedric! Good news. We've finally found an heir!


Sir Cedric Willingham:
That's wonderful, Duncan. Who is he?


Phipps:
His name is Jones. Ralph Jones.


Sir Cedric Willingham:
A good man?


Phipps:
[embarrassed] Well. He has his strengths and his weaknesses. You see, he's

[uncomfortable pause]


Phipps:
American.


Sir Cedric Willingham:
Quickly, Duncan! The strengths!

Continuity: Near the beginning, when Duncan is explaining Ralph's heritage to him at the hotdog stand, one of the soda glasses alternates between being upright and being slightly tipped between shots.
