Angus is a fat boy with many problems. Everyone at school wants to humiliate him, so he thinks if he goes to another place, where nobody knows him. He is also in love with Melissa, a very beautiful girl from the school, but he can't get close to her. His only friends are his grandfather and a schoolmate of his.

Kathy BatesMeg BethuneIn the original short story, Angus' dad was alive and both of his parents were gay. When the movie was first shot, Angus' mom was straight and his dad was gay. After the final cut, the filmmakers decided to abandon the "gay parents" situation for good. The beginning - and some key scenes - were re-shot with George C. Scott in his present role as Angus' grandfather.

Isn't Angus a cow's name?
Angus:
Moo.
[Punches Rick in the face]
Continuity: In the opening football scene, when Angus makes a tackle, the football clearly falls to the ground. In the next shot, it is still seen soaring through the air.

With more than a million titles, it isn't feasible to handpick recommendations for every film. That's why we came up with a formula to suggest titles that fit along with the selected one. The formula uses factors such as user votes, genre and keywords to generate an automatic response. The system produces relevant results most of the time but since recommended titles are not manually chosen, occasionally they may include less than perfect matches.
