Gabriel Caine has just been released from prison when he sets up a bet with a business man. The business man owns most of a boxing-mad town called Diggstown. The bet is that Gabe can find a boxer that will knock out 10 Diggstown men, in a boxing ring, within 24 hours. "Honey" Roy Palmer is that man - although at 48, many say he is too old. A sub plot is thrown in about Charles Macum Diggs - the heavyweight champion that gave the town its name - and who is now confined to a wheel-chair.

Marshall BellWarden BatesDuring the fight between rounds, James Woods made racial comment to motiviate Louis Gossett Jr.. The comment was about a famous TV mini-series _"Roots" (1977) (mini)_. Gossett was in Roots.
Paulo:
It looks like I finally get to kill you after all.
Gabriel Caine:
Well, that's a distinct possibility. But I'd bet, I don't know, four dollars against an hour with your mother that it doesn't turn out that way.
[Paulo hits him]
Gabriel Caine:
You're right. That was insulting, I'm sorry. Five bucks.
[Paulo hits him harder]
Paulo:
Mr. Corsini felt a little reminder of your obligations would be in your best interest, given what just happened in town. Not that you have any doubt who would kill you worse.
[Caine nods in agreement]
Paulo:
Come midnight, you'd better win.
Factual errors: Roy Palmer was leaning against the ropes between each round in the first few fights; fighters don't do that, since it makes the arm muscles tense and sore. As a fighter, Palmer should have known better.

With more than a million titles, it isn't feasible to handpick recommendations for every film. That's why we came up with a formula to suggest titles that fit along with the selected one. The formula uses factors such as user votes, genre and keywords to generate an automatic response. The system produces relevant results most of the time but since recommended titles are not manually chosen, occasionally they may include less than perfect matches.
