Movie Plot

The American Film Institute presents Steven Spielberg with their twenty-third Life Achievement Award. The most prolific filmmaker of all time, this TV special documents his three-minute childhood films through to his three-hour Oscar-winning 1993 masterpiece "Schindlers List." Hosted by Tom Hanks, this tribute recognizes the genius of Spielberg's work. Highlights include everything from his breakthrough 1975 blockbuster "Jaws" to the horrific realism of the D-Day landing in 1998's "Saving Private Ryan", for which he won a second Best Director Oscar. With a variety of clips from his films and featuring some of Hollywood's finest contemporary actors.

How do we recommend titles?

With more than a million titles, it isn't feasible to handpick recommendations for every film. That's why we came up with a formula to suggest titles that fit along with the selected one. The formula uses factors such as user votes, genre and keywords to generate an automatic response. The system produces relevant results most of the time but since recommended titles are not manually chosen, occasionally they may include less than perfect matches.
