A fictionalized take on the group of brilliant young skateboarders raised in the mean streets of Dogtown in Santa Monica, California. The Z-Boys, as they come to be known, perfect their craft in the empty swimming pools of unsuspecting suburban homeowners, pioneering a thrilling new sport and eventually moving into legend.

Charles NapierNudieOriginally David Fincher and the other producers hired Fincher "protege" Fred Durst to direct "Dogtown," with Fincher helping out with the second unit skateboarding scenes. As Durst's participation came into doubt, Fincher then became the director, even going as far as having sets built, doing extensive pre-visualizations for the feature and hiring Roger Avary to rewrite the script. Fincher then left to take on another feature, paving the way for former Production Designer Catherine Hardwicke to sign on based on the success of her first feature Thirteen (2003).
Gabrielle:
Hey! You totally blew me away!
Jay:
What? You wanna blow me?
[the Z-Boys laugh]
Gabrielle:
Maybe!
Continuity: After Jay meets with Stacy and Kathy on Bicknell Hill, Stacy already has his 1972 Squareback car, but as he comes home in the next scene, he is riding his bicycle from the beginning of the movie.

With more than a million titles, it isn't feasible to handpick recommendations for every film. That's why we came up with a formula to suggest titles that fit along with the selected one. The formula uses factors such as user votes, genre and keywords to generate an automatic response. The system produces relevant results most of the time but since recommended titles are not manually chosen, occasionally they may include less than perfect matches.
