In Lexington, Kentucky, the horse barn of the family Crane has been empty for years, without any horses, due to the financial difficulties of the family. When the female horse Sonya, a.k.a. Sonador (Dreamer, in English) breaks one foreleg in a race, the owner Palmer decides to sacrifice the animal, but Ben Crane accepts the injured horse as part of three months salaries owed by Palmer. His daughter Cale becomes very connected with Sonya, and while the horse is rehabilitated, the wounds in the Crane family are also healed.

Continuity: In the shot right before the horses go into the gate for the Breeder's Cup Classic, the camera pans out to reveal a field of horses that are obviously not in the big race. They are wearing white saddlecloths instead of Breeder's Cup purple ones and are part of a real race field at Keeneland Race Track where the scene was filmed.

With more than a million titles, it isn't feasible to handpick recommendations for every film. That's why we came up with a formula to suggest titles that fit along with the selected one. The formula uses factors such as user votes, genre and keywords to generate an automatic response. The system produces relevant results most of the time but since recommended titles are not manually chosen, occasionally they may include less than perfect matches.
