Megan is a normal American girl who's one of the best cheerleaders on the team, along with having the captain of the football team as the perfect boyfriend. But there are some very unnormal things about her, including the fact that she doesn't like kissing her boyfriend, she has posters of girls in her locker and at home, and she likes listening to Melissa Ethridge. Does this mean that the normal Megan may, in fact, be... a lesbian?!?! Concerned, her parents and friends send her to True Directions, a gay-gone-straight camp led by the well-meaning, yet totally insane Mary and the "ex-gay" counselor Mike. As time passes before graduation, Megan start to come to terms with the fact that she's a lesbian and that she's in love with Graham, who stays totally open with her sexuality, even though her parents are ready to kill her if she comes home a lesbian.
Cathy Moriarty asks a character if she wants to be a "raging bull-dyke." Moriarty received an Oscar nomination for her role in Raging Bull (1980).
Graham:
I'm Graham and I like girls. A lot.
Crew or equipment visible: The top of a crew member's head appears at the bottom of the screen just after Megan and Dolph get out of the pick-up, in army clothes, to go and save their respective lovers from the diploma ceremony.

With more than a million titles, it isn't feasible to handpick recommendations for every film. That's why we came up with a formula to suggest titles that fit along with the selected one. The formula uses factors such as user votes, genre and keywords to generate an automatic response. The system produces relevant results most of the time but since recommended titles are not manually chosen, occasionally they may include less than perfect matches.
I happen to be a lesbian, and I loved this film. The whole thing was great and funny and touching from beginning to end. Not recommended for youngsters though because there is a scene where a girl is assumed to be masturbating... but... otherwise, it is 5/5 in my book.
