Movie Plot

This is another story of the secret Coast to Coast auto race across America The only rule is, the first to finish is the winner. Naturally, anyone driving 55 isn't going to win. They'll need to drive a little faster than that. Well actually, they will need to drive a LOT faster that 55.

Trivia

Both this film and "The Cannonball Run" (1981) were novelized by the same author, Michael Avallone.

Mistakes

Continuity: The damage on the various cars isn't consistent in the film chronology. Most obvious is the scene in which the green Mustang and black Charger are playing demolition derby in the construction site - compare the condition of the Dodge at the end of the battle to when it flies off the overpass.

How do we recommend titles?

With more than a million titles, it isn't feasible to handpick recommendations for every film. That's why we came up with a formula to suggest titles that fit along with the selected one. The formula uses factors such as user votes, genre and keywords to generate an automatic response. The system produces relevant results most of the time but since recommended titles are not manually chosen, occasionally they may include less than perfect matches.
