In the 1800's, the clumsy teenager Tristan Thorn crosses the wall in the border of his town to the magic realm of Stormhold to bring a fallen star to his beloved Victoria, a spoiled girl that does not love him but has promised to marry him if he accomplishes his promise. In the fantasy kingdom, he meets the star Yvaine and imprisons her with a magic rope, promising to release her after meeting Victoria. Yvaine was hit by the magic ruby of the evil King of Stormhold that has promised his throne to the son that could find the stone. Meanwhile, three evil witches led by Lamia seek Yvaine to eat her heart and make them young again, and the two sons of the dead king also search Ivaine because she wears the necklace with the powerful ruby.

Bishop:
[toasting the princes] To the new King of Stormhold. Whichever of you fine fellows it might be.
[they acknowledge him and sip their grog. The Bishop chokes and collapses forward, dead]
Tertius:
Hmm.
[Tertius chortles nervously as they eye each other suspiciously; his eyes suddenly open wide; he chokes and falls forward, dead]
Septimus:
[to Primus] You!
[Septimus clutches his throat and chokes, falling backward onto floor; Primus smiles, incredulous, picks up the crown as if to put it on his head]
Septimus:
[suddenly breaking into laughter] You really thought that you were king?
Primus:
*You* killed the bishop.
Septimus:
No, Primus, I think you'll find that *you* killed the bishop by drinking out of the wrong cup! Oh look... when you finish wrestling with your conscience, may I suggest you return to your chamber. Leave the quest for the stone to me.
Continuity: Whenever Lamia appears to her sisters in the mirror, she is always the exact same physically as she is when she calls them. In the middle of the movie she appears in the mirror as a young woman exactly as she was when she first set off. However, when she travels to the mirror, she is old. In all other instances of her contacting the sisters, the mirror shows her as aging or old.

With more than a million titles, it isn't feasible to handpick recommendations for every film. That's why we came up with a formula to suggest titles that fit along with the selected one. The formula uses factors such as user votes, genre and keywords to generate an automatic response. The system produces relevant results most of the time but since recommended titles are not manually chosen, occasionally they may include less than perfect matches.
