Movie Plot

The final installment in John Jakes trilogy of the Civil War. It focuses on the Reconstruction period and the continuing saga of the Hazards (from the North) and the Mains (from the South). Both families face the deaths of loved ones at the hands of old enemies. The action moves to the old west as Charles Main becomes a cavalry officer.
