Angie was born in the Bronx and raised by her mother. She soon moved and grew up the early part of her life in Brooklyn. Angie spent her teenage years going down the wrong track to the point where a teacher rang home one day telling her mum that she was to be expelled because she never went to school and she was hanging around the wrong crowd. Angies mum became worried as she had not suspected a thing due to Angies faked reports. She quickly moved Angie away to Miami to try and get her daughter down the right road. It is in Miami where Angie became infatuated with hip hop and radio. She soon realized that radio was what she wanted to do and became a PA at a Miami radio station called Power 96 where she would do jobs such as answer calls. After working night classes and going through summer school Angie managed to graduate high school on time. Once she knew radio was her future she moved back to New York and quickly landed a job at Hot 97 Radio station, she was first put in as the well known funk-master flex's sidekick. Soon she became popular with the audience and landed her own slot. Over the next few of years Angie would become one of Hip Hops most recognized voices over the radio waves of New York. Doing interviews with the like of Jay Z, the late Christpher Wallace aka Notorious BIG and many more she is well respected with her ladylike yet streetwise style and attitude. In 2002 she made her big screen debut with small appearances in the Rocafella film Paper Soldiers (2002) and Brown Sugar (2002) alongside Sanaa Lathen.
