An up-and-coming actress with several notable film and television roles already to her credit, Katheryn Winnick was born and raised in Toronto, Canada. In 2010, she was cast in a pair of high-profile studio features: Robert Luketic's Killers, an action-packed comedy in which she went toe-to-toe with Ashton Kutcher, and Ed Zwick's Love and Other Drugs, where she lit up the screen in her scenes opposite Jake Gyllenhaal. The previous year, Katheryn drew raves upon the release of Sundance favorite Cold Souls, a surrealist comedy in which she plays the beautiful but lonely wife of a Russian mobster who buys her Paul Giamatti's soul. (Nominated for Best Ensemble Cast at the 2009 Gotham Awards, the film also features Emily Watson and David Straithairn). Katheryn's diverse resume also includes memorable performances in the Oscar-nominated short Our Time Is Up (starring Kevin Pollack), and Paramount's hit romantic comedy Failure to Launch, where she steals her scenes with Matthew McConaughey.Katheryn has built an impressive resume in TV as well. Her small-screen breakthrough came on the heels of an impressive guest-starring role in "House, M.D.", which landed her a significant holding deal at Fox. When announcing the deal, the studio's Executive VP of Casting told The Hollywood Reporter, "She stood out in it. We were tracking her, and after she did that 'House' episode we knew we wanted to stay in business with her." Katheryn was subsequently cast as David Boreanaz's controversial love interest in the long- running Fox series "Bones".Katheryn's television credits also include guest-leads on such hit shows as "Law and Order", "Law and Order: Criminal Intent", "CSI: New York", "CSI: Miami", "Criminal Minds", and "The Glades".
