Alec Murdock Biography
First appeared professionally in 1968 as Chief Oriba in Florida outdoor drama "Cross and Sword", then as Simon Fernando in Joe Layton's "The Lost Colony" (1970-1971). Founded The Liberty Stage in Jacksonville, Florida. Earned BFA at Cal-Arts in 1971. Performed in L.A. improv group "Sunday Funnies" and numerous mystery weekends. Acted in 100+ plays before first screen role. Played recurring lead role of attorney Ed Remick (1987-1989) in syndicated TV series "The Judge". Frequently portrayed newscasters, as in series "L.A. Law" (recurring) and "Santa Barbara. Also anchored and wrote real TV news (1988-1992) at NBC affiliate in Billings, Montana, and in West Los Angeles. Has appeared in dozens of commercials, and as spokesman in dozens of industrials (see Other Works). Writes screenplays, stage plays, books. Directs and produces voice-over, commercials, industrials, theatre. Founded Pagrovia Media in 2002. Resides near Monterey, California.
