Alan Ruck is an American actor who has made over 100 appearances in Film and TV, and on stage. He is best known for his role as best friend of Matthew Broderick and hopeless hypochondriac Cameron Frye, in John Hughes's Ferris Bueller's Day Off (1986). His other film roles include Young Guns II (1990) with Emilio Estevez and Lou Diamond Phillips, Speed (1994) with Keanu Reeves and Twister (1996), the latter two films being directed by Jan de Bont.Rucks TV appearance include "Tales from the Crypt" (1989) opposite Lou Diamond Philips, "Spin City" (1996) with Charlie Sheen (who he also appeared alongside in ''Ferris Beueller's Day Off''. He made an appearance in _From the Earth to the Moon_ which re-united him with Cary Elwes of ''Twister''.
