Actress-turned-producer Deena Dill continues making her mark in the entertainment industry with a unique combination of talent, wit, creativity and business savvy. This small town Tennessee native is poised to become a true Hollywood power player.The CW's high-stakes, musical chairs program "Oh Sit" is Dill's most recent production effort. She and her producing partner, Richard Joel, joined forces with Phil Gurin ("The Singing Bee," "Shark Tank") to create and executive produce the hour-long, prime-time competition show for The CW (Variety, Sept. 21, 2011). "Oh Sit" has been picked up for 10 episodes and is expected to start airing in the summer of 2012 (Variety, Jan. 12, 2012). It's the first game show The CW has ever bought.Dill's other producer credits include "DocFest," a series for the Documentary Channel and "Perfectly You," a health and wellness magazine show that sold into 62 markets. She served as host on both projects.As an actress, Dill juggles recurring roles on two of television's most popular comedy programs. She plays the perky neighbor Bliss on ABC's "Suburgatory" and Gibby's mom, Charlotte, on Nickelodeon's "iCarly." Dill's other acting credits include "Two and a Half Men,' "Bones," "Army Wives," "Drop Dead Diva," "Boston Legal," "24," "CSI:NY" and the family film "Little Red Wagon" (written by Patrick Sheane Duncan of "Mr. Holland's Opus" and directed by David Anspaugh of "Rudy").Dill asserts that she was quite the tomboy growing up in the small town of Dayton. She received her first motorcycle at the age of five and also played on the boy's little league baseball team. It was Deena's athleticism that took her to Vanderbilt University, an NCAA Division I school, to run track as a 100 meter hurdler and triple jumper.Her career in the entertainment industry began when she was asked to appear in a country music video as the love interest of Billy Ray Cyrus while she was in Nashville attending Vanderbilt. She went on to graduate Cum Laude from Vanderbilt and subsequently appeared in more than three dozen country music videos opposite such superstars as Billy Ray, Aaron Tippin, Trace Adkins and Vince Gill.Dill was all set to attend law school after graduation when she was offered a modeling contract in Milan, Italy. After much contemplation, she decided Italy sounded like more fun than three years in a law library. As a model, Dill went on to become the face of Cornsilk Make-up, the legs of Hanes Pantyhose and the body for Gottex Swimwear.Upon returning to the U.S., Dill landed her first hosting job on SportSouth which later led to her hosting a pilot for The Football Network. She then moved to Los Angeles to pursue additional career opportunities in the entertainment industry. Prior to landing numerous roles on prime-time television, Dill braved the stand-up comedy stages of such high profile venues as The Improv, The Comedy Store and The Laugh Factory.Deena Dill resides in the Los Angeles area.
