Allen MaldonadoThe road to Hollywood was never a definitive option for Allen Maldonado, a native of Rialto, California, a small city eighty miles east of Los Angeles. After a small role in the comedy franchise Friday After Next he would emerge to be one of young Hollywood's elite. Inspired by his mother, Alleen M. Hood, his drive and determination has enabled him to persevere through the ups and down of the entertainment industry.The producers of "The Young & the Restless" would quickly recognize Allen's talents and cast him as Jamal, a recurring character on the show. The year long role on the show was only interrupted by a near fatal accident involving Allen and three other actors being hit by a drunk driver one fateful night, in Sherman Oaks, Calif. With a rapid and blessed recovery, Mr. Maldonado was able to rise from the ashes like a phoenix to book three TV shows in one week. Two of which were recurring roles on Emmy nominated shows such as, CBS's "Judging Amy" and FX's "The Shield". He has also appeared in many other TV on several major networks in "Detroit 187" on ABC, "Chase" on NBC, and "Rizzoli & Isles," on TNT just to name a few.His eclectic film credits range from blockbusters to critically acclaimed independent films such as the hit film Live Free or Die Hard, States of Grace, 4 Life, Rome & Jewel, and A Beautiful Life, which also received a DGA award and a student Emmy.
