Actor / Director Profile

Rebecca was born in Cobourg, Ontario, where most of her childhood years were devoted to writing and performing plays with her friends, figure skating and horseback riding. During her teens she continued pursuing her interest in drama, performing in many regional and youth theater productions. However, her other love of figure skating took front seat at this time. At the age of 16 she moved to Toronto for more high level training and by age 18 she was nationally ranked. After retiring from figure skating, Rebecca decided to put all her focus on acting, which she was very much missing. Her formal training began at the age of 21 in Sydney Australia where she studied acting with John Noble (Fringe, Lord of the Rings), voice with Bill Pepper (NIDA), and landed roles in a series of short films. After a year and a half in Sydney, Rebecca returned to Toronto where she continued to study acting and pursue her career. At this time she also completed a degree in History and English at the University of Toronto. Her first break came with a small role in acclaimed Canadian filmmaker Atom Egoyan's "Where the Truth Lies", in which she had the opportunity to work opposite Kevin Bacon. Since then she has continued to build her career, working in film and major network television including Battlestar Galactica, Smallville and Supernatural.
