Jaason Simmons Biography
Tasmanian born actor Jaason Simmons was first introduced to the worldwide stage when he became part of pop culture playing life guard Logan Fowler in the TV series "Baywatch". At 24 he got his first glimpse of American celebrity as he was seen by over one billion people worldwide. One in three people tuned into "Baywatch" from 142 countries each week. After 3 years on the show he walked away from Hollywood, and returned to stage school to study theatre, to complete his training with renowned acting teacher Sandford Meisner.Jaason started to experiment with independent movies taking on controversial roles, including Greg Araki's film "Nowhere" starring with Christina Applegate and Heather Graham.Spring of 2000 marked Jaason's UK theatrical debut as he took to the stage in the much acclaimed 'Eroica', directed by Paul Warner the noted film and stage director. He later returned to the London stage to play the lead of Sergi Medvadev in "The end of the Sentence", a Psychologist thriller set in present day Moscow,directed by Adam Meggido.Last summer Jaason took up the challenge to play Dad and Husband in Steven Berkoff's "Greek. Directed by Australian actor and Director Marcus Graham, at the Powerhouse theatre in Brisbane. Jaason has just completed filming the independent feature "Mad Cow Girl" a dark comedy filmed in Los Angeles, Directed by Greg Hatanaka. He divides his time between London, Sydney and Los Angeles.
