Tv Show Plot

The elegant St. Gregory Hotel in San Francisco is the setting for a string of distinct plots, usually romantic, often involving famous guest stars for an episode or two. Victoria Cabot runs the hotel for absent owner Laura Trent (Bette Davis, seen only in the opening episode), until Cabot dies halfway through the series, when manager Peter McDermott takes over and makes Christine the new manager.

Trivia

Bette Davis starred as Mrs. Laura Trent, owner of San Francisco's St. Gregory Hotel. She fell ill and was hospitalized early into the show's first season. Anne Baxter (Davis' nemesis Eve Harrington in All About Eve (1950)) took over the hotel as Victoria Cabot, Mrs. Trent's sister-in-law. Davis was not invited back when she recovered.

How do we recommend titles?

With more than a million titles, it isn't feasible to handpick recommendations for every film. That's why we came up with a formula to suggest titles that fit along with the selected one. The formula uses factors such as user votes, genre and keywords to generate an automatic response. The system produces relevant results most of the time but since recommended titles are not manually chosen, occasionally they may include less than perfect matches.
